Smart playlist-missing files
« on: April 30, 2006, 10:29:45 am »

So i've been renaming, tagging and rearanging my library a lot.

I now have a lot of files that are 'missing'.

Short of deleting all files and re-creating my library, is there a way to create a playlist of missing files, so i can easily delete them? The new, re-named and relocated files have already been found just fine.

Thanks,
-Jeff

using the import tool (file > library > import media) will clean up your database for you if you select the 'fix or remove missing links' option.

It's an oddly named tool because you don't actually have to import anything to get the other jobs done. if it's not instantly visible, click on the advanced button to see more options.

just in case you're still nervous, and to answer your question fully, the following search will return all your 'missing' files:

[=IsMissing([Filename])]=1
