upgrading from media center `10 to 11
« on: October 01, 2006, 06:45:14 am »

Hi folks;
 I have several media players on my computer I have purchased and real player always gives me free upgrades by merely checking "check updates"
But with media player and previous versions I had to purchase some upgrade - plus I was never e-mailed to the fact that media player 10 (ten, that I have now)is now at version 11
So, My questiion is;
 Do I not get a free upgrade, or discount, like I do with every other software products I have like ADOBE products, Microsoft stuff like Front page, One Note;
ExplorerPlus; Snagit it; Etc...
please advise
thank you john kamalic

When Media Center 10 came out there were free updates
on a regular basis for it.  You can get the latest MC 10 for free now
by going to the help menu and selecting Check for Updates,
or alternatively downloaded from the ftp location:
ftp://ftp.jriver.com/pub/downloads/music/MediaCenter10.exe

There is a discount for moving from MC 10 to MC 11 as shown here
http://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?topic=32601.0

MC11.0 comes with a free upgrade to MC11.1 which is available now.

Updates to MC11 have for the most part stopped now,
as a new version of MC is underdevelopment.
