audio/video sync
« on: September 17, 2002, 10:10:10 pm »

Hello,
While playing some video clips (mostly .avi) the video and audio do not sync correctly.  The video is behind by a few seconds and it gets worse as the clips plays.

The strange thing, is that a few weeks ago I reformatted my drive and installed everything from scratch, installed a new video cared and the problem STILL persists!

However, it is NOT a problem unique to MJ, because regardles which player I use it still occurs.

I have played the clip on other computers and it is fine. So it is not the video clips.

I have searched the web (google) and have found no help.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled all my codecs.

Here's my system info:
Media Jukebox PLUS 9.0.57
Install Path: C:\Program Files\J River\Media Jukebox\

CPU: AMD Athlon 1382 MHz MMX
Memory: Total - 261 MB, Free - 120 MB
OS: Microsoft Windows XP  Workstation 5.1  (Build 2600)

Internet Explorer: 6.0.2600.0000
ComCtl32.dll: 6.00.2600.0000
Shlwapi.dll: 6.00.2600.0000
Shell32.dll: 6.00.2600.0000
wnaspi32.dll: Internal ASPI Layer

thanks for any help this is really driving me crazy!

I believe that avi files are played with the Windows Media Player engine.  Try solving playback problems there.

The only thing I can guess is that one of your drivers needs updating.  Try the soundcard for sure...

Best of luck.
