Library Import Media Issue
« on: September 17, 2002, 05:02:18 am »

Since my lousy ISP (comcast) only gives me 128kbps upload I had to re-rip my CDs to 112kbps.  So I ripped several of them, then replaced the files, and reload the library, but the library does not typically see the changes to these files and still lists them as a different speed.  I am not sure how this affects playback, but even the MJ Server thinks the speeds are different and the old speeds I see when I am playing the files from work.  MJ seems to show the speed inside of tag info? and not the actuall playback speed?

In any event, we need a "Deep Import" feature that will scan the tag info in files to see if any of it has changed so that I can get my library updated without flushing it.  At least if the filesize changed MJ could reread the tag info?

Thanks

If you're not finished ripping, you can use convert instead.

Try update library.
