connecting to an HI-MD
« on: June 22, 2006, 02:39:49 pm »

I know there are endless issues about atrac but I have a newly acquired sony MZ-RH1 and it almost works with jriver but not quite...
Media Centre will recognise it and boot it up as a connected device and let me apparently transfer my (flac) files as mp3 to the device. They appear in the device file list. However the machine wont play them and doesnt seem to know they are there.

What does work is to
a) do the above (to get them transcoded) then copy the file folders from the md back to the pc
b) then use Sonic stage to see the mp3 folders and copy them back across...

Is there an easier way - obviously ideally Id like not to have to use Sonicstage at all but if thats not possible can i transcode to a "pretend " location on the pc and then just use that as the default folder for sonicstage?
