Popping on Pause
« on: July 03, 2006, 07:06:32 am »

When playing APE Files(Not tested with others),
when the pause button is pressed, and when
playback is resumed there is a fairly substantial pop noise.

I'm no expert on these areas, is there any possability
it can be stopped?

Or a fade out option added for pausing?

I've got most normal and some odd high ones which i
ripped before I realised my computer couldn't really handle them.

The popping appears to happen with both.
Although it varies from album to album as to just how
noticeable it is.

Maybe it's just my system/soundcard.
The reason i'm noticing it is because I'm making
more mods to my skin and am pressing the pause button
alot!

Have you been playing for some time? I do not get that when I start MC and play an APE then hit pause and play.

I do get a burst of distortion when I close MC after listening for awhile.

Doesn't seem to matter how long MC's been open for.
It seems to be more audible 10 seconds or so in
to the track?

The worst track I've tried for it so far
is Chicanes Overture, which is very noticable.
