MJ 7.2 won't play audio CD's any more
« on: September 15, 2002, 10:01:10 pm »

First of all, MJ 8.0 won't unzip for me, crashes B4 install & I still can't afford to change Diamond V770 video card or update to XP, this was thrashed out here B4. But MJ 7.2 worked perfectly until coupla weeks ago -yet nothing's changed with s/ware or h/ware.
Now when any audio CD is inserted in the drive, MJ doesn't do its usual CDDB look-up, & when I scroll to D drive in MJ tree, a message says "MicroSoft Visual C|PLS||PLS| Runtime Library - abnormal program termination" and then MJ is closed due to inv page fault in module MFC42.DLL. How do I stop this? mp3's play OK. & writing /burning CD's works fine - both audio & "data" CD's. My system info from MJ -

I'd do that if only I could - but some of my CD-ROMS been lost in my change of address .  Including the one that had my MJ 7.2 d/load on it.
And MJ 7.2 is no longer available for d/load - have even tried o/seas sites. If anyone can assist me with this, I'll pay postage & anything else involved - I'm on dial-up

Oops - I did make a system change, but would that make a difference?
From Control Panel, I removed WMP 7.1, cos I don't use it & hate its ugly interface. But I'd reinstall it if this is the cause.
