cover art
« on: July 07, 2006, 07:36:11 pm »

howdy, i've spent many hours digging up cover art and doing (right-click paste image from clipboard) to paste the cover art image on all my albums.  it seems MC stores this in some default folder.

i'd like MC to store this in the folder the particular album's mp3 files are in.  is there some way to tweak the settings so the .jpg gets saved with the folder that holds them mp3 files?

thx in advance

If you store the cover art for each album in the folder containing the album, and call the file "folder.jpg", Media Center will automagically find it when you import from that folder.

Also, Windows will show the album art as the thumbnail for that folder automatically as well...

You need to so this manually however, MC cannot do this for you ( I don't think)...

Options -->File Location-->Track Images Location -->Location Rule:  Select from drop down list one of the following:
Next to file ([Artist] - [Album].jpg) or
Next to file (Folder.jpg)

Enable the option to store iimages in tags also.

When you paste your images, a jpg will be created in the folder that houses your music files, in addition to the tags.

There are lots of threads asking about cover art.

Try this one

It is a confusing area, but the above link helped me understand what I needed to do.
