I have a desktop with all my music on it, and a laptop which I carry around with me. Both have MJ 8 on them. What I'd like is to be able to synchronise a networked folder on the laptop as if it was a portable device under MJ. That way I could keep it updated whenever I ripped new CD's on the desktop.
It would also be nice if it would update the MJ database on the laptop to reflect the changes, and copy over the relevant cover art.
Is this possible, or am I living in a dream world? I've had a look at the source code for the Portable Drives plugin, but it's beyond my limited programming skills.

It is a dream world for now, but it is not impossible to implement. As version 9 comes closer to being ready for prime time, we can try to include this.
