AIF Support -- Unidirectional?

MC11 Help Files indicate AIF compatibility.  I have sucessfully imported AIF -- and converted to WAV.  But, I can't seem to import WAV -- and convert to AIF as the encoding option for AIF does not seem to exist in the Convert pull-down menu.

Am I nuts or is the support for AIF only unidirectional?
