Try the build that just went up.  The menu doesn't disappear with each change.  This should make it a lot more usable.

The hybrid of letting users pick fields plus pick groups of fields wasn't doing well in some usability we ran.  It was clear we needed to simplify the tag window if we wanted normal people to be able to understand it.

Depending on what your tagging, or doing in MC, you may want different fields to show.
So to be able to goto a certain config easily, I think would be a big +

For instance, if you're tagging audio, you use one set of tags, video a whole different set. To show both all the time would clutter things...

Customization of the tags that get shown is already saved per media type.

I absolutely love this...

It needs finishing though. As it is, it's pretty pointless because it's not there long enough to read any more than a line or two... If the mouse were moved over the popup, perhaps it could stay on view untill the moused is removed or clicked? Needs to be scrollable or bigger by default too.
