MJ and Cd-text problems
« on: September 13, 2002, 12:41:11 am »

I've had this problem for a while now. I burn a Cd using MJ. When I re-insert the CD, MJ doesn't show any track info, but if I open it in easy cd creator all the info is there. Why can't MJ  display it?
I'm using version 8.0.369 .

I'm trying to chase this one down. It seems MJ only has problems reading cd-text if it tries to do it right after a disk is inserted into the drive. If the disk has been inserted and "seen" by other programs (including explorer), MJ reads the cd-text ok. Once MJ has failed reading the cd-text, the only way to make it read it correctly again is to remove the entry from MJ's library (under CD and DVD media) and also edit the cdplayer.ini file in the windows directory and remove the incorrect CD information. Then restart MJ and let it grab the cd-text. Obviously this isn't an easy work-around so we'll get this fixed asap.
If the disk is in YADB (or CDDB) you can fix the entries by doing a re-lookup.

Ok, this bug will be fixed in the next release of version 8, probably on Monday.

Thanks for reporting it.
