Preserve settings moving to new PC
« on: August 12, 2006, 09:21:03 am »

I am moving MC to new PC. I would like to retain all of my playlists, modified visuals, usb-uirt setup. How do I go about doing this?  Just copy old Media Center 11 folder on to the new install??

You'll wanna back up your library too (File -> Library -> Backup Library) and restore it at your second location. This will  keep your playlists, view schemes, custom fields etc.

Not sure about the other options though!

Thanks... forgot about my BU libraries...

The IR stuff is the stumper.  I know that for my Homeseer setup the UIRT settings where stored in the registry. I exported the key & imported it to other registry & I was "good to go".
