I have a photo in my MC database.  The size of the photo is 200 x 200.
I found a better copy of the photo, so I copied the new file over the old one using windows explorer, saying that yes I want to replace the file.
Right-click > properties in windows indicates that the file is now indeed 500 x 500.

MC database is still showing the file as 200 x 200.
I don't see any sort of "refresh" option, so I deleted the file from the library.
I then re-imported the photo via drag/drop from windows explorer.
The photo is still showing as 200 x 200 

The only way I could get MC to show the new 500 x 500 size, was to delete the photo from the library, but this time when I pressed delete, I had to choose to move the file to recycle bin also, not just remove from library.

Next, I saved the new file on the harddrive again and imported that.
MC now shows the correct 500 x 500 size info.

Is there an easier way to have MC re-validate the file info for the jpg image?

If update library from tags doesn't work, then remove tags followed by update library from tags usually does the trick.
