Otto clarification please?

Thanks for letting me back into the beta. I was feeling left out.  :-\

Since I'm new to 12, can I please get a clarification on Otto? The feature says "Background (auto) import with optional folder watching." If "Enable watch folders" is checked, does it watch my entire system or ONLY the watch folders I enter? I would plan on setting it to the root of my audio files but not have it touch anything else on my system.

Also Matt mentioned there was an option under Tasks to leave removable disks alone but I can't find it.

Not having a real manual import anymore will take a little geting used to.

There's still a real manual import.  It's called "Add Folder to Library"

Otto only watches folders you tell him to or files already in your library.

Got it, thanks. I thought the Add Folder to Library was only related to the Watch Folders option if it was enabled since it was listed under there in Options.

Glad to see that if I don't add any watch folders, it will only watch the files in my library if enabled.

So even if I add no directories to be watched, all the library will be watched for changes? Would that be file-wise or folder-wise?

It's file-wise for the library, but only if you enable watch folders.
