Problem with 'artist' field
« on: August 19, 2006, 12:40:19 pm »

Hell everyone,

Hope I didn't miss it but I couldn't find anyone with the same problem I have, let me explain with an example.
- I convert my soundtracks into MP3 and use them in Media Center
- I have sountracks entirely made by Hans Zimmer (ie Black Rain)
- I although have soundtracks made by various artists including Hans Zimmer (ie True Romance)

When I filter by album there is no problem, but when I filter by artist, only the soundtracks he entirely made appear :(

Any idea how to have all the MP3 files for which he is in the 'artist' field ? Thanks.

Some time ago I asked the same question and at that time didn't clearly understand the answer. By searching again the forum, I (re)found this answer and now I got it right !

"Just add the plain Artist view item besides the Album Artist (auto) to your view schemes. Use that view item for finding all works from a specific artist."
Thanks KingSparta and of course thanks Alex B, problem solved !
