Questions about the recent "Audible" changes in build 194.

Quote
2. Changed: Removed Audible device activation/deactivation.
3. Changed: Improved capabilities for transfering Audible files to devices (device must be activated by Audible).

What are the implications of this?  Does this mean that we still need "Audible Manager" on the system in order to activate/deactivate devices?  I was hoping that I could get rid of Audible Manager, but it sounds like it may be necessary to use it if MC doesn't do these functions.

Thanks for any clarification on this,

That's what it means.

The failures, frustrations and limitations we've experienced with the Audible SDK as a means to activate/deactivate devices has left us with almost no choice in the matter. This is particularly true for newer devices, meaning, the problems will only get worse.

If an updated SDK becomes available we will expand our support to preparing and managing Audible Ready devices but until then we will limit our support to transfers.

Regards,
Rick
