EXCLUDE FOLDERS
« on: August 27, 2006, 09:54:01 am »

Has anyone noticed this option is only available from the OPTIONS Add Folders screen ... there are three ways to Add Folders to the Watched folders list, but only one way to add an EXCLUDE folder ? Why not include it in all of the option list dialogs?   (I would imagine we can type it in, but for a novice it would be hard to find) ..

Also, is there a shortcut to otto-import :)
How often does WATCH FOLDERS trigger (without having to dig through posts?)

I see EXCLUDE checkboxes in other places now .. .

So, now two questions:

How do I FORCE AN IMPORT without opening the options screen?

How does the WATCH FOLDERS work?   intervals, etc ? User-Configurable?

There are no options other than checking whether you want auto import on.

Can you give details on the intervals that it works from currently?   I would only want it to import at MOST every 4 hours ... but it seems to keep my processor pegged most of the time, so I'm curious what ths interval is ... and if it is variable depending on library size, etc.

It shouldn't peg your processor.  Maybe thumbnails are still being built?

Jim, I've got about 400,000 files in the library so far, all with full EXIF tagging for pics, all with every Sparta tag for Music, and what-not ... everybody have coverart and its quite possible that its building thumbnails ..
I'll let it run for a couple days again to see if it can do it this time ... most of the time it locks up after a day or so or processing.
