You need to have the MC10 license and the current program version installed on the PC that is used for the upgrade purchase.
Could you do the following?
On your networked PC:
- Install MC10 (
ftp.jriver.com/pub/downloads/music/MediaCenter10.exe).
- Restore your MC10 license (
https://rover.jriver.com/cgi-bin/restore.cgi)
- Uninstall MC10. Use the uninstaller with all uninstall options ticked. (This does not remove your MC10 registration.)
- Install MC11.1
- Buy the upgrade and save the key file (it is valid for 14 days).
- Uninstall MC11.1 if preferred.
On your "MC" PC:
- Backup your MC10 library (- libraries if you have many. Make a separate backup file for each library)
File >Library>Backup Library.
- If you use a cover art folder that is located inside MC10's program folder make a backup of the cover art folder too.
- Make notes about your customized program options (in MC10).
- Uninstall MC10. Use the uninstaller with all uninstall options ticked. (This step is not necessary, but I recommended it for getting the cleanest possible MC 11.1 installation)
- Install MC11.1 and restore the MC11 license from the key file.
- Restore the library(ies)
File >Library>Restore Library- Customize the program options if needed.
