MC 11.1.196 cutting off end of tracks
« on: September 13, 2006, 12:13:10 pm »

This just started happening the other day, possibly right after applying an update to 11.1.196.  MC consistently cuts off the last second or so of every track and goes to the next one.  I have it set to a 2-second gap, but it did it on a 1-second too.

Hi pjeffe,
I had a similar issues but it was in an unusual way going from stereo wav to ape or mp3 when the output was set to mono. The last second was dropped and MC jumped to the next track.
Anything like this for you??

No, I should have mentioned that I'm just playing a playlist of mp3s and it seems to happen on every one.  The only thing that might be unusual is that they're located on a network share.  I have it on Direct Sound output, with buffering set to 3 seconds.  I get dropouts very rarely, only with heavy network traffic.

Try gapless.

Also, try WaveOut instead of DirectSound.

Finally, if you play from a local file or a CD, is it any different?

Thanks.

For what it's worth, I am suddenly getting those digital stutters at the end of my .apes during fade using ASIO with a decent buffer. I am using .98 but this seems to have started in the last few builds.
