Does the M-Audio 410 Firewire soundcard work as a Mutli-zone card?

Yes it does! It provides 4 stereo outputs, which all can be seperately assigned to up to 4 different Zones in MC. IMO the audio card sounds great. For me it works perfectly!

I am trying for the life of me to get this to work.  I have the FW410 and am only able to route all zones through outputs 1/2.  How should I be setting this up?  I have tried DirectSound, WaveMap, and ASIO to no avail.

I tried this on a different computer with no problems.  I used DirectSound on all zones with each zone routed to a different output.  I am now wondering if it is not my motherboard: ASUS A8N-SLI deluxe.  I have had nothing but problems with this board.

Raising this old question.....

I just purchased the M-Audio Firewire 410 and would like some assistance with multi-zone playback.

I get all audio from all zones output as a mix on channel 1 and 2......

Same problem as noted by toml0006.....

Would love to have this functioning properly soon....help appreciated!

Color me surprised.......

There has been no response to this topic......

Others have asked the same question (also with no response) and yet this was supposed to be one of the BIG selling points of MC .....the ability to run multi zone audio.

Has everyone else who bought a 410 just given up and gone a different route? OR is there a solution that could be shared for using MC with an m-Audio Firewire 410 as a multi zone solution?

 ?

Gee folks.....no response?

Perhaps a poll.....

>RTFM

>we're really busy doing something else and can't help you now......try again later.

>we have no clue why this isn't working......let us know if you figure it out...

>hmmmmm....works okay for me......don't know what you're doing wrong.

Even a lame response vs. no response would lead to a perception of better customer service.  Right now I'm thinking

>you bought it.....thanks....but that's as much help as you're going to get.

Unfortunate.....

I found that I couldn't have iTunes on the computer AT ALL.  Pretty rediculous, but that meant that all of my DRM free music that I ripped in lossless AAC was useless, I had to reconvert on a different PC and do a system restore to the time before iTunes was installed (un-installing didn't work).

WHen it works, its nice, but the whole doesn't work in a system with iTunes installed is a complete joke.
