A program called Total Recorder can do it.  http://www.highcriteria.com, I think.

Have a look at FreeAmp.It is a player who rips some streamings on the fly to mp3.
Not sure if ok with any stream, but works with mp3.com and Shoutcast

Total recorder is a great tool, for sure.
But if you want to keep some streamings on mp3 format, beside Total recorder, give a try to FreeAmp.
You get mp3 on the fly,no need to rip, convert. And you get each song an mp3 ,not an hudge file.

You should not use FreeAmp with Spinner;you have to play the stream with FreeAmp to get it on mp3

But you can do it with Media Jukebox as well, never did it, so i cannot tell you how it works, start a new post 'how ...with Media Jukebox",you will get answers

Listening to: 'Wabash Cannonball' from 'Wildwood Flower' by 'The Carter Family' on Media Jukebox
