Transitions on portable
« on: October 25, 2006, 01:37:10 am »

Hi,
Is it possible to create a playlist with transition (like smooth 4seconds), register this transition for this list and send it to a portable player (Archos) with the transition.
Or is it possible to create a one mp3 file with transition from a playlist?
Very happy with 12.

You probably could re-encode your music to one file with a transition between the songs but that would be a huge amount of work.  Plus, I don't know if you could split the songs up then--so you'd have one big song and the title information may stay on the first song since it can't update during a song (or can it?)

You're better off finding a player that will crossfade if one exists.  If you could somehow set a setting in a playlist to say crossfade, then you'd be able to force it on the player alone, I would think.

Thanks,
It's only for some playlists.
My wife want a playlist for making gym.
We burn a cd with transition and it's ok but she has a archos 100 now and would like to do the same with the portable.
The name of the songs is not a problem, it can be one song.
Do you think it is possible to rip the cd I've made with transition in a one file ripped. Do we keep transition int his case?
Or do you know a software that can create a one mp3 song with transition from multiple files.
