Around the middle of September my RSS feed to the this board stopped working with my newsreader "NewsFox". I wrote the developers of NewsFox and below is their reply. Also, there was a post or two on here regarding the links for the newsfeeds, they seem to be gone now. Has JRivewr abandoned the serving of the feed? I am using http://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?action=.xml;type=rss;sa=news

From NewsFox Dev team:
For me, the reason why it doesn't work 'as is' is the MIME type, which returns
the server. Namely, 'application/rss+xml'. I'm not sure that it is registered
MIME type, and, for example, Firefox 1.5.0.7 asks whether I want to download
the file, instead of showing me XML file.

So, the first thing you may do is to ask JRiver's admin about this MIME type or
try to search the web by yourself. If they will change it to 'application/xml'
(which is registered) everything will work. If they have strong reasons not to
do it - let me know and we'll see what can be done.

I have experimented with feeds from the forum too but not with much luck. I used WizzRss in firefox, and used the top level of the media center forum as the feedlink, but it always ended up downloading the thread headlines from all of the forums instead of just the one I chose.

I'd like to be able to subscribe just to threads that I want to follow too. Anyone doing that right now with any luck?

xml+rss worked fine for me in FF however, try your link again.

Also, if you want to limit your topics to certain boards or create multiple live bookmarks do something like this:

http://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?action=.xml;type=rss;sa=news;board=8;limit=10

The board specifies which "board" you want to view, in this case portables and the limit is the number to show in the feed at any one time.

Thanks for the info. What's the number for the MC12 board? Also, is there any way to subscribe to threads?

The MC12 board is 12. I'm not sure about subscribing to threads, I don't see an obvious way to do it...
