Burn audio CD hang up

For some time I've been getting "command sequence error" fault after burning  4 or 5 tracks of a full audio cd.  Is there any conflict with NERO on the same machine?  I can burn the same project with NERO ok.     Have also tried with Ver 12 beta with the same problem showing up.   Maybe a hardware problem with the Pioneer DV108 burner?
