Sync or copy from iPod to PC

I lost my HD and now my backup is on my iPod......how can I copy from the iPod back to my PC?

The good news is that you can open your ipod in windows explorer and actually copy the music over to your computer.

The bad news is that all of the file names end up like CDFGV.mp3 and they are all in one or two folders.

You can use a tool like Tag and Rename to rename all of your files.

Buy yourself an external hard drive.  They are so cheap that there is no reason not to have one.  You're about to find out how valuable one can be when you get done with today's task.

You should be able to use MC to rename all your files.

The command is "Rename files from properties" under library tools.
