Question about stopping songs
« on: September 06, 2002, 03:24:43 pm »

Hi!

I think about this every now and then. When it's late at night and you want to stop hanging at the computer, I find it very nice to have one last song playing while I brush my teeth (or whatever). So, is it possible to issue a "stop playing this playlist after the current song is done" thingy? That way I don't have to delete the rest of the songs in the playlist OR stop a song in the middle of it.

I mean, MJ is such a flexible program in many other ways, so I thought it might be possible....or?

Replying to myself...again :)

Wouldn't it be cool if you got a menu when right-clicking 'Stop' to choose how it should stop? Like 'Standard', 'Stop playing AFTER this song', 'Fade-stop'...

There's a Sleep Timer on the plugin page.  Would this work?

Well, it seems a bit like pulling the fuse when you want to turn off the light :)

But maybe I just dreamt that it was possible...?

You can just delete the rest of the songs from Playing Now. That won't affect the playlist they came from.

Just spotted that you should be able to do

mjextman /Clear DontRemoveCurrent

That should give you what you want as long as continuous play isn't turned on.
