Wow, that was neat.  I reported a bug in the morning, and they squashed it the same day.  How's THAT for responsiveness?  (See 4. Fixed.)

Bug or Feature?

Reshuffling Playing Now doesn't reshuffle the currently selected song (regardless of whether the song is playing or not).  If the current song is not #1 on the play list, it gets moved to #1.

Focus bug has been there as long as I can remember:

Clear Playing Now.
Turn off "Jump to Playing Now on playback".
Make sure playback is stopped.
Click on an album or artist on the tree, not an individual track.
Press Return.
Press arrow keys, tab, etc. They don't work.

You can recover with Ctrl-3 but then you lose where you were.

Has anyone looked at how cpu usage skyrockets when mini-me goes transparent in XP?  Mine goes from <5% to 45-50% with no other change than removing focus from mini-me to the desktop, and having mini-me go transparent.  If I turn off transparency in options, cpu stays low under all conditions.

gkerber,

I have - but this seems to happen with transparency everywhere.

nVidia's new Desktop manager will make dragged windows go transparent, and CPU usage is high while it's transparent. Virtualy no CPU usage when transparency is off.

Not sure if that's driver or Windows related - but seems likely not to be MJ specific.

Bug still present (this is not something new with this release, JimH suggessted re-posting the bug):

Lyrics information becomes uneditable from user's standpoint after entering lyrics via MJ.

To show this error I started with a file that had no Lyrics tags at all.

I edited it with MJ setting the Lyrics to "Test1".

I then repeated this for Test2, Test3, Test4, a Blank (deleted existing Lyrics), and Test5.

After each edit, the Lyrics displayed in MJ was "Test1."

Each edit added another frame of information (used MP3 Tag to see this).

Then I brought it up in MS MediaPlayer 9 - and could see why. Each Lyrics "edit" was added as another lyrics frame... but the 1st one is always displayed. Except the attempt to delete all Lyrics, which neither added nor removed any tag info.

I know this has happened with other information in the Tag, but recently I have just been getting problems with the Lyrics.

The bottom line is once you put any Lyrics in with MJ, MJ will always display that as the Lyrics - regardless of MJ edits.

When shuffle is turned on, then choosing a list from a playlist or media libary to play, it starts always playing the first song that appears in your playlist or media library, the other songs in the list are shuffled

A bit more testing on the Lyrics. Some of my files had 6  copies of the exact same Lyrics.

Every save to the TagInfo causes another copy of the Lyrics to be stored the file.

I suppose, since MJ only displays the 1st one - that when it's fixed you'd delete entries 2->n? While that wouldn't be keeping the latest, but it would at least have MJ match what it was displaying.

Comments are duplicated as well it seems, but a pattern is harder to see because most of the time my other TagUtils can't even see the MJ comments.

---

A different bug. Annoying more than critical.

If you try and scroll down a couple of lines in the display window by clicking the scrollbar arrow twice, it is interpreted as a DblClick inside the window: which of course toggles the mode between Internal/FullScreen/Windowed.

Again, not critical, but very annoying.
