why is J.river media center the default program?
« on: December 01, 2006, 09:11:52 pm »

Since I installed  J.river media center it became the default program to open pictures, video, music. Do you know how to change this? For example to use an other program for videos

These are apparently set up as your options in MC.  You can set this in:

Tools/Options/File Associations.

You can change these in Windows itself.  Go to:

Control Panel/Folder Options/File Types

For each file type you can see the program that will open it.  You can either make changes here or restore the windows defaults.

The other option, of course, is to use MC for these file types.  You may prefer MC after you get used to it.  One of the advantages of MC is that it can handle all kinds of media within a single program.

Good luck,

Randy
