Imported Date and Fields
« on: November 25, 2006, 07:40:30 am »

I had some old view schemes that were based alot on Date Imported.
They no longer work so I've been trying to work out why.

Date Imported is still showing under options but when I'm in the smart list and use the drop down arrow and choose more fields, its not showing in there (along with several other fields).

Is this a bug or am I missing something?

How do I get my filters by date imported to work again?
Thanks

nvm - worked it out from some of the example playlists.
The format has changed for how to type it since I originally made the playlists.

Still seems like it could be a bug though that these fields dont show up under 'more fields'.

Is it a bug that these fields dont show up under the field list or is this deliberate?

If we talk about the same thing, I've been told that [Date Imported] (and some other date related fields) doesn't show up because there are no 'wizards' tied to them.. Personally, I'd like them to show anyway so I don't have to type more than necessary :)

keywords, keywords, keywords!!

Try going into the field options and setting things like:
aaa= for [album artist (auto)]
fnn= for [filename (name)]
fnp= for [filename (path)]
mt= for [media type]
ft= for [filetype]
di= for [date imported]

honestly, it speeds things up no end in the typing stakes, and also, it makes the strings shorter, and therefore, easier to follow.

Keywords are all fine, I know...but my memory is not...In order to type a keyword, you'll have to remember it! Things in a dropdown you just have to recognize ;)
