Theater View and Exit button
« on: December 09, 2006, 08:47:57 pm »

Hi,

Is there a way to configure the Exit button in Theater View such that it exists MC12 rather than going to standard view.

thanks,
Osho

No there isn't but geeez I wish it there was.

As suggested numerous times in other threads, I (and many others) would like to be able to remove the exit button all together. I think it should be included in the configurable "items to show" section under Options->Theater View. Every other menu button is there except Exit. Happy to have it shown by default though.

While on the topic of this, my suggestion would be to also include the following other things in the "Items to Show" user option for Theater View:-

a) Home button (really missing this now...  :()
b) Pg Up / Pg Down buttons (these have mysteriously disappeared in recent builds ?)
c) The "All" view folder(s)
d) ...and anything else which could make sense.

So, I added a custom button called "Close" which executes the program

C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\MC12.EXE /Close

So, now Close button quits MC12. So, it serves the purpose so far.

Now, the look on my wife's face when I explain to her why Close quits MC12 but Exit doesn't - priceless. :).
