I need a few volunteers willing to help clean up the YaDB database.

Each day you'd get an email containing some duplicates, right now, the email is long (with 4 volunteers, 1MB, with 8 volunteers .5MB).
Each set of URLs has a link you click to maintain them (either changing, deleting, or certifying). You can do as many as you like each day, and if you don't do one, it will (probably) go to someone else.

what would the e-mail or file format look like?

And what would the volunteer do? (delete the dups i would think).

I am just wondering if it could be automated or something with maybe a VB program.

I am willing to help what ever the case

You speak about a 5 MB email?

Now ,how do we work.

Just delete doubles?

If correcting :according tho which rules? The or the? On or on?To or to.This thing T,t or O,o is the main raison to double entrys.

If -as i understand-certifying,again ,which rules?
According to the cd we own?
To another data?
To rules O,o-T,t

Both delete and edit, I think.  The e-mail is text with links.

You are presented with a list of CDs that are thought to be duplicates. Usually they are, sometimes they are not.

You can "certify" - hinting that this should not be reported as a duplicate again, or in other words, that this CD is really what it seems.

You can modify - so that if you have two crappy entries, you can modify one to have the best of the both.

You can delete - to get rid of junk.

You can say "I'll wait til tomorrow" for the next email.

The format of the email is text, and it looks like:

Wish you were here/Pink Floyd
wISH yOU wERE hERE/pINK fLOYD
wywh/pf
something unrelated/someone unrelated
http://blah.blah.com/blah/click.me

and all you do is click on the link to get the full details and capabilities.

I can put some time in this weekend.  I am really ANAL when it comes to that kind of stuff, so I would be glad to fix stuff.
