I am trying to burn an audio CD from a dozen of tracks. Here's what happens on two machines that I tried this on:

1. Settings: Burning /  Drive D: TOSHIBA  DVD-ROM SD-R6012   Addr: 1:0:0  Speed:16  MaxSpeed:16  BurnProof:Yes, Test mode: No /  Eject after writing: No /  Direct decoding: No /  Write CD-Text: Yes
  Use playback settings: No /

NOTE: I unchecked "Decode files directly to disc" to see if that would help my problem, but it doesn't.

2. The first few tracks are getting "prepared" (aka converted to WAV), which a growing burncache.raw file also indicates.

3. At one (random) point, MC starts "writing" tracks to the CD, with no more tracks being "prepared". The CD is closed without the missing tracks ever being added.

4. Result: I end up with a CD that only has a few of the tracks in the burn queue, e.g. 2 out of 12.

As I said, I tried this on two different machines, with different hardware. On one machine, I unchecked "Enable CD recording on this drive" under the drive's properties, which didn't make a difference.

Both machines have similar to:

Also, both machines have Roxio Easy CD and DVD Creator 6 installed.

I now uninstalled and reinstalled MC 11.1.201, but the same problem. The first few tracks are written to CD, then randomly the disc is closed. Any ideas anybody?
