iPod Shuffle song order query
« on: December 09, 2006, 07:46:42 pm »

Can anyone help me please? I have an IPOD shuffle and am trying to work out how to order the way songs are played back (in non-shuffle mode of course). So, I drag the songs to the device in the order I want - fine. Now, suppose I want to swap the first song with the third. I go to Drives & Devices in the tree, click on my Ipod device but I cannot re-order the songs shown. Is this an oversight somehow? I can do this in ITunes...

Thanks.

raym,

Currently, the only way to reorder tracks on a Shuffle is to remove existing files from the Shuffle, organize the tracks in the order you want them in and re-transfer.

I guess you can look at this as an oversight - iPod support is an ongoing game of catch-up without a guide. We'll try to add support for this in the near future.

Regards,
Rick
