When i play a movie in theatre view i use a MS MCE remote which has limited funtionality on Media Centre (play/stop etc).

The problem is, when i play a movie in display view, i cant find an easy way to show the current video stats with this remote. Is there an easy way to see the timings of the current video such has how long in i am and whats left etc. i dont want it on the screen all the time obviously and dont want to have to but the only way i can do this is by going over to the pc and using the mouse.....can this info be added to the playing now screen so if i swich back to theatre view from display view and go to playing now, the timing are there with the file being played.

Also when i fast forward/rewind in display view can this also show the timings so if i want to fast forward lets say 20 minutes of video, i can do this without going into the detached view or normal view....i want to remain in theatre view so that i can use my remote and not have to go over to use the mouse.

Just something to make the whole theatre/display view a little better imo...i understand that the theatre view needs to stay clutter free....maybe i am missing something already available.

Very nice idea! Many have suggested this feature in the past. The playing now view in theater view for video could be used to show this info (as you've suggested). Sort of like how track info vizualizations work for Audio.

All i get is how fast the FF/RW is going...a percentage i think, what i would like to see is the video time there aswell so i know where i am in the video.
