Recommendations for USB Hubs and External Hard Drives

I have a dell laptop and am looking at purchasing a USB Hub, anyone have any good recommendations?

I am also in need of a good External Hard Drive to store music and movies on, any recommendations?

I would say pretty much any USB hub would be fine.  I prefer Western Digital on hdd's because I buy mainly them and they work great for me.  Maxtor also works well for me.  I have very little experience with Seagate but they are very popular.  Any of those.
