Printing lyrics in MC-12
« on: February 06, 2008, 09:59:29 am »

Is there any way to print lyrics that are embedded in the tag info?  And print them from within MC-12...NOT a copy, paste into another application???

Gracias

Sounds like a good addition to my LyricsEditor plugin.

I wonder where I put that source code...

Sounds great, Doof, but will I be able to print from within MC-12 with that plugin?

Doof, here's the setup....

I work for a publishing company.  We have several song pluggers that all use MC-12.  They make pitches all day long.  They need to be able to find a song, listen to it and, if they like it, print out the lyrics that are already embedded within the song they are going to pitch.

How does that sound?

Thanks for your input.

Well, first I'd have to add that feature into the plugin.

If I did that, then the way it'd work is you'd go to the plugins branch of MC's tree, and select LyricsEditor. You'd then pick the playlist you want to get files from (sounds like in your case you'd want Playing Now, which is the default), then choose the file from the list and hit the print button that doesn't exist. I'm sure with a little coaxing, I could even set it up to print out lyrics for every file in the list.

So yes, it would be from within MC in that sense. You wouldn't have to copy and paste anything.

Try downloading it (link is in my signature) and let me know if you think tacking a print function into it would be helpful to you. If so, I'll see about adding it in.
