MP3 Software - Jukebox
« on: August 29, 2002, 09:57:30 pm »

Does anyone know of any software that acts like a real jukebox.  I want people at a party to be able to select songs randomly without someone else being able to easily override the selected tracks.  Most MP3 software will just play whatever you select in a specific order or randomly, but not like a true jukebox, or they make you drag them into order.  On a real jukebox, you select tracks that get queued (and only a Reset button would cancel a playing track!)

cheers,
Carl

There is a "party" mode. I'm not sure how it works because I've never tried it. It would seem though, that that would suggest behavior that you describe. Not much help, I know, but I hate to see a reasonable question go unreplied to.

PARTY-MODE is a useful feature, but it's a bad name.

Party mode simply lets you lock the settings with a password for "parties" where undesirables may be using your system.
