iTunes 7.1.1 - Another version released on March 16, 2007
« on: March 21, 2007, 12:13:51 am »

FYI...

Another version of iTunes, v7.1.1.5,  was released on March 16, 2007.  This is right after the 7.1.0.59 release.

iTunes 7.1.1 addresses a stability issue and minor compatibility problems in iTunes 7.1.

As I recall 7.1.0.59 created problems for MC users. As I have multiple iPods, I'll give this a try and report back.

The firmware is the same. V1.2.1 (this is the version for the 5th generation 80gb iPod).

I'll do a restore so I can test MC with a clean iTunes 7.1.1 factory setup.

I ran a test with 4 different file types:

mp3 Audio
mp4 Video
m4b Audiobooks
jpg pictures

Before doing a sync of everything with MC, I did a sync of some m4b files with iTunes.

Everything worked the same as it did before. There is one problem, but it is not related to the new version of iTunes.  My video files show up under video and music.  When I play them as video, they are OK. When I play them as music, they try to play as audio tracks (no video).  I'll make a separate post for this.

My tests were with 12.0.195.
