Question on oversized discs
« on: March 05, 2007, 03:07:13 am »

Hi there,

I have some 90min/800M CDRs.
Audio burning works perfectly (I managed to burn a CD of about 89 min, no probs, running on any audio equip that I have, even the cheapest CD Player).
Data burning does not work at all: system behaves as if it is a standard 700M CDr and delivers "logical block address out of range" errors.
Is this behaviour to be expected?

Thanks, Marcus

Not sure i would take the risk in being incompatible with other CD devices i may own.

And Possible Loss of data at the outer rim

You'd say, burning 800M CDRs is as esoteric as the WARP drive?
