Fearture request: video codec options

When playing back video, Windows Media Player 6.4 had a File->Properties->Advanced tab which allowed you to see what codecs it was using and set lots of useful options for them. This has vanished under WMP7. Would it be possible to allow the user to set these options under MJ9?
