Sorry, no joy.
>At what exact point does it crash?
As soon as I click OK in the dialog to choose which type of burn I want to do.
>Does it make a difference if you select (or unselect) the generic driver on the cd writer options page?
No, after installing the latest version I enabled the use generic driver option. Only impact was I had to rename most of my files because of the 64 character limit in the generic driver.
>These are data CD's you're burning, correct?
Yes.
>Do you have the "eject CD after burning" option selected?
I used to have this option checked but I unchecked it and still it crashes.
>Just for the heck of it, try disabling CDDB lookup.
It never was enabled, I use freedb and cdplayer.ini. I don't know how many CDs I filled out info for in the old days and then these suckers want to cop a copyright on other peoples work. No way!
Anyway, just to reiterate. The crash happens regardless of whether there was a prior burn. The last time I exited the burner to rename some files, when I returned to the initial Burn type dialog and hit OK MJ blew up.
