Incorrect track time?
« on: May 09, 2007, 04:00:08 am »

I'm using WAV and MP3 (128) files. Importing them into MC12 works fine - but if I then use my sound editor to - say - reduce the length of the track MC is still showing the old wrong track time. If I then delete the track from MC and re-import it the wrong track time is still shown.

I'm sure there's a way of getting the time right - can somebody please tell me what it is.

TIA. John.

Right-click > Library Tools > Update Library (from tags)
- updates the format info besides reading the tags. It should correct the duration info too.

Be aware that this may replace a couple of library field values with the default values if the files don't contain physical tags with appropriate values. (For example, MC does not support wav file tags even though some other programs may use proprietary wav tagging methods.)
