I'm running 0.348 and have begun to notice a clicking sound when playback is initiated on most files. These are exclusively mp3s. Believe there were prior posts concerning sound artifacts on playback but have poked around in Search and don't find them - probably using inexact search terms.
Files are not defective, unless something has happened suddenly to corrupt them. Have selected Wave Out, 16 bit, smooth cross-fade with 4.0 sec. gap, smooth seeking. Slider set @ 80% of the way to More Skip Resistant.

This follows curious behavior - burned data cd, no problems, but couldn't read it in my E drive (burner). Then moved it to G drive (CD-ROM)which read it just fine, but after removing CD, went back to the playlist I burned, attempted to play files directly from drive, files skipped constantly, buffered, MJ hung, had to exit CAD. Finally rebooted, which eliminated the hanging and constant skipping, but the clicking persists.
Probably ITT (Indiscriminate Information Transmission) but thought I'd purge anyhow.
Any suggestions?
