Smartlist newbie - how do I set a smartlist to play shuffled?
« on: September 06, 2007, 08:33:28 am »

This is the thing: My wife has a bunch of albums (say 20-30) that she listens to. She would like to have a button in my car's NetRemote CCF that she can press and then get a random selection of songs from those albums. I can make a bunch of smartlists, with from 30 minutes and up to four hours of music, and I can play those from NetRemote.

That's OK, but she would also like to have the ability to set all her albums to play, but still shuffled. She likes varation! I think there is a switch I can use in the commandline (I use Treepath to play) to play shuffled, but what is it? I have only found the switch to turn shuffle on and off, and I would really like to have the zone unshuffled since I prefer full albums and no shufling. Or can I set that in a smartlist that covers all her albums?

I'm not a newbie with MC, but with smartlists...  Thanks in advance!

You can put in the smartlist "Sort By" to "[Random]". That'll shuffle your smartlist. Not sure about the other stuff!
