Hidden Files Always Reappear Upon Startup
« on: July 24, 2007, 01:55:52 pm »

When I start MC12, it displays 2 panes at the top (artist & album) and a list of files below. The list contains all my files, and I don't want to see the files in 1 of the folders, so I enter in the Search box:

-[filename]=hos

and all file data for files in \hos disappear as desired.

Problem is, when I quit MC12 and restart, I always have to do this negative search. What do I need to do so that the files in \hos do not appear when MC12 is restarted?

And how do I hide files in more than 1 folder??

you need to turn on access control: View > Access Control.

Enable access control, create a password if you want to control who can turn access control on or off.
Click on the advanced button and then enter your exclusion into the search bar.

To exclude other directories, add them to the exclusion seperating them with commas. use double quotes to wrap if you use spaces...
-[filename]=hos,folder,"other folder"
