Update Library function removed my CDROM based files!
« on: August 19, 2002, 03:29:06 pm »

OK, I'm a noobie and was giving Media Jukebox a try.  I really liked what I saw so I went through the trouble of importing all 35 of my mp3 CDROMs.  Everything went fine and I could see all my disks in the Media Library under File Location.  Then I did some reorginazation of my music hard drive (approx. 40G).  After this I did an "Update Library" with both clean up options selected.  At this point all file locations other than my hard drive were no longer in the library!

From the help:

"This option will not remove files on removable drives. If you keep a database of your CDs, using this option will not remove the references to those files even though they are not on your hard drive."

Did I do something wrong or is this a bug?

Uh oh... maybe it's a bug.  We'll take a look tomorrow.

In the future, it never hurts to make a quick library backup once in a while using Library Manager, so if we goof, you don't lose anything.

Sorry for any inconveniences...
