Duplicate in Drives and Devices?
« on: September 02, 2007, 07:44:14 am »

I've got two virtual devices in MC
- Library Backup
- MP3 Sync

One for backing up my library, and one for keeping a synchronized MP3 library.
When I go into the windows for these I get a status for each track/file
which is in the playlist I selected to synchronize on these devices.
The status is normally either "On Device" or "In Queue" to be synchronized.
However currently I notice alot of the tracks are saying "Duplicate"
although they're not necasserily on the device at all.
What does this mean? and how do I resolve it?

Cheers
Chris.

It means a file with matching information is already on the device.

It looks at artist, album, name (and possibly others).

You could try a smartlist to find files in your library that could be duplicates:
~dup=[artist],[album],[name]
