MJ8 Batch Renaming
« on: August 17, 2002, 03:34:29 am »

Since I Can't Rename Files With MJ8 Due To The Way The Renaming Function Works.

I Was Playing With Adding ID3 Tags To The Rename Rule, And Noticed That Size, Bit Rate, And Length Can Not Be Used In A Renaming Rule.

Could They Be Added?

I guess by "size" you mean filesize? Dunno if you are trying to filter which files will be renamed according to the attributes you listed, or you want those attributes to be part of the new file names...

The prog I use for all that is MP3 TagStudio. It can be a minor pain to dig through the help file to figure out how to do stuff like that, but its sole focus is tagging. It's got some good features. http://www.magnusbrading.com/mp3ts/

yes file size

It has nothing to do with filtering.

what it has to do if you have songs in a folder from the same artist with the same song name (dif versions of the same song) MJ will not allow renaming. so if file size, and length were part of the rules when renaming this would soulve one of the problems i have with the rename fuction.
