recording from line-in ignores filename preference

Media Jukebox PLUS 8.0.348

when recording from the line-in of my sound card the filnames generated are "track# - trackname" when my preferences are set to "track#. trackname"

Did you fixed your preferences in "Options > File Naming and Location" ?

This is only for Ripping and encoding - not for Recording.

How do you get filenames generated when Recording (from a cassette or a vinyl) ?

CDDB has a lookup for that. You have to type in the artist and album but you get a track list unless you are the first one to try to look it up. Then you need to tell CDDB about it.
You can also enter the track#, track name, artist, album and even the approximate track length manually. Make sure it's in order of appearance ... the recorder won't know the difference.
